Broken

Where the soul slips away
with but a memory to leave behind
of how it used to be
no love, no whisper of love
love to save the soul
but no one is there
no one is there
where has my soul gone
where is my happiness?
i search forever but all i have is sorrow
only sorrow
only sorrow to console me
to hurt me only more
i thought my sorrow was gone
but it was always there
only to come back and haunt me
when bad things happen
to make bad things worse
