The Hidden Truth

by emmerz   Dec 6, 2006

As he falls from his haven, the rain cries in discomfort-
Who would have wanted his life to take such a turn?
As the sun casts a glow on a dark, gloomy night,
Those hidden secrets are revealed.

Like the young girl wanting only to be older,
I wish I could stand on a different podium
And proclaim my thoughts and whole being.

As the gentle creature screams his agony
Of falling for a picture perfect scene;
What he thought was real was just imagination
Of what he wanted to feel inside.

I’m not longing for an answer, but direction
Or searching for a feeling, but emotion
And as I wait for something that will never come,
The truth sets in.

**had to write this a couple years ago in english class, had to find 'inspiration' from walking outside on a rainy day**
