I wrote my name on a gravestone.

by Hannah Emellia   Dec 7, 2006

I'll carve my name on a gravestone,
I wanted to see how it'd look,
But when I carved my name on...
My innocent soul it took!

Why'd it take my young soul?
Why'd it do this to me?
Stop this pain- it's hurting...
I JUST WANTED TO SEE!

So what will it say on my gravestone?
Right under my year of death?
I'm thinking up these words....
But I can't catch my breath!

I want to know what's on my gravestone!
Will it say: Curiosity killed the cat?
They always forget the next part...
And satisfaction brought it back.

But I doubt that I'll be coming back,
And don't you ask why!
Because I'm already tellin' you,
My place is in the sky.

Don't write your name on a gravestone...
It bad luck- you see...
Unless of course it's your time to die.
That's not where your name should be.
