Save me

by Talon   Dec 8, 2006

I call for you in the dead of the night,
I forget I won't find you,
But I still look around,
Awoken from a restless sleep.
My bare feet hit the floor.
The chill of the wood makes my body shiver,
As a draft of cool air sends my hair dancing behind me.
I make my way to the door.
Wonder where you are,
Or if Iâ??ll ever find you.
If only you were here.
I step up onto the railing of the balcony.
What a long way down.
The city is wide awake.
My toes are numb and I can see my breath.
Are you there to catch me?
I wish I knew.
Iâ??ll wait to fall,
Until you can save me.
In my warm bed, I drift off to sleep,
To a land of dreams,
Where you are perfect.
