Time Freezes
the tears of my reality resurrect
as I stand here feeling alone.
and I look for a familiar face
amongst the blurrs speeding passed
once acquainted, now seemingly unknown.
Once acquainted
but through lies and pretense
they do not know me
nor do I know them
in this moment.
I long to go back to a familiar place
The one which I so easily chose to leave trapped in my past;
The past that I can only recall so vividly during this second of anguish.
Time melts away
So I can once again forget
what so deeply I long for
and so deeply regret.
