Did you know
i trip over my own feet to get to you
do you even understand what i'm going through?

do you know what's going on in my mind
as i'm staring off into space
do you see the tears under the smile on my face?

do you hear me
when i hint at my sadness even when i joke
and do you see the fire beneath the smoke?

do you know that
i try to be strong, i really do
but everything i see, it reminds me of you?

can you tell
that i still love you, and i always will?
do you realize everyone's moving on as my life stands still?

is there anything i can do
to make you see what's really going through my mind
or to make you follow me to the smile i hide behind?
