A Love Forgotten

by Vyntrrose   Dec 9, 2006

Silver shines
a love forgotten
one I vowed never
to return to
it started last march
eleven cuts later
I swore never again
then december came
that evil month
with sharp cold
and bitter lies
brought it back to me
unwanted
that tiny piece of metal
so small but deadly
in my hands
dragged across my skin
it brings pain
sharp and acute
a delicate trace
of scarlet blood
in the palm of my hand
it feels so right
that for a moment
or two
I wonder why
I ever made that promise
then I remember
but its too late
that elegant shadow
of blood
is my addiction
my drug
I cannot stop myself
after that first one
seven more follow
eight small
insignificant cuts
in my hand
tiny wells of scarlet
bursting
its not my fault
its all because of the rumors
and because of one mistake
in june
that ugly month
that led to so much trouble
and now
it comes back
in eight little slices
flowing crimson
made by silver
my love forgotten
a delicate sliver of metal
so small
unnoticeable
my little silver needle

I really enjoyed reading that. That was a very artistic piece of work.

Do you really cut yourself my love? I do hope not. Be honest with me.
