Unforgotten Past

by Hannah Emellia   Dec 10, 2006

Write my story in the sand,
So it will wash away.
Take it to a distant land,
Take it there to stay.

Fading into icy gray,
Cold and all alone.
Losing traces of myself,
And forgetting what's been shown.

I want my story lost in time,
So no one else could see,
I don't want you to see my past.
And what I couldn't be...

I'm ashamed to say I lived,
In the time of kings.
In the time of angels,
Well- when they still had wings.

I was nothing to compare,
To gods and lords of high,
However, I have something...
That'll make our game a tie.

I had met an angel...
An angel from our land.
I never want THIS memory,
Buried in the sand.

her image carved in memories,
And even etched in stone,
Her beauty now immortal,
For everywhere it's shown.

But, as my story turns to past,
You'll remember me...
How our love could never last...
And how evil love could be...
