Our Angel

by clevername   Dec 10, 2006

If we were floating above the world
How many tears would we hear cry?
If we standing on top of Mt. Everest how many people would we see die?

If we each could see the world, in the eyes of an angel?
Would we only see the laughter?
Or do we already see it that way, anyway?

Do the laughter and the tears compare?
Do they have one heart to share?

Or is the pain spread unequally.
And when oneâ??s heart feels a break, everyday.
Anotherâ??s heart is glowing in every way.

Does a tear mean more than sadness?
Does it mean that a lonely sun is setting.
That one's beautiful life is ending.
Is a smile more than happiness?
Does is mean, that you'll change our rotting world.
That youâ??ll make us each a shield and sword.

If a smile is an expression of life changing.
And a frown is an expression of life ending.

Well, don't be afraid of the change.
Feel the ground shake beneath your feet,
and embrace it.
We are one person, ready to stop biting our lip.
We are one person, ready to begin a mighty trip.

And if your neighbor cries beside you.
Hold there head to the sky.
For you are the person who will change our world.
And be our angel flying by.
