When We Meet Again

by Virna Estella   Dec 10, 2006

When we meet again,
I know not if I'd be loving you still
For when you left me in vain,
This heart forgot how to feel.

When we meet again,
Will I be numb in silence in tears?
Will I accept the hand of a friend
Who used to be my lover way back some years?

When we meet again,
Will you recognize the girl you loved?
Will the mem'ries of us shall remain
Inspite of the pain that we sure both have?

When we meet again,
Will we be able to smile like before?
Or will there be tears to make us cry some more
For a love that we didn't dare to fight for?

When we meet again,
Will the wounds hurt no more?
Has time been able to completely cure?
And are the cracks been healed by a summer rain?

When we meet again,
Will it bring back the flame?
Or we'll both be sad while saying
"Here's my kid and the same as yours is my child's name".

Another poem well written. once again the flow is good. but the last verse i was sorta thrown off... i could process the meaning... or put the words together right away. took me a couple of reads.
