Silent Revenge

by Diana   Dec 11, 2006

I sit across the room and look into his eyes
I can tell by the look of his face hes trying not to cry
I tell him every things going to be fine and take his hand
He looks at me trying to let his words land

He shakes a bit as he sits up in bed
Little hairs of Grey showing on his head
Cancer has its ways he says looking down
your going to get better i say with a frown

His breathing got harder his blue eyes went blank
Silent tears stream down my face as i wait
Holding onto his hand don't leave me i say
you have so long to live please don't go today

My time here is done Ive held on so long
don't leave me grampa you cant die
with his final breath he said i love you and goodbye
Now I'm alone his cold hand in mine

crying silently to pass by the time
cancer is unforgiving i hate it so much
it leaves so little time so little touch
Ill never forgive what it has done

He was such a sweet guy but vengeance has spun
Ill get my revenge what ever i do
They can take my spirit grampa
but they cant take you.
