Hope

These scars tell the story of a teenage girl with a painful and twisted past
A girl who had nowhere to turn and ran out of strength at last
Day after day she smiled and night after night she cried
Never showing any sign that part of her had died
Then one day in that empty house she picked up that sharp little blade
And although her blood flowed freely her life somehow stayed
She was filled with hurt and rage for fate had not been kind
And that little blade was her only friend; the only comfort she could find
Every time she slid that blade across her snow white skin
The blood would flow and with it would go the pain and anger within
She went on with her life and whenever it became too much to bear
She would grab that blade and cut because no longer did she care
Shed shut out her entire family and pushed away all her friends
And she hated the world too much to let anyone back in
Depressed and all alone she didnt know what to do
Until one day, with a broken heart, she finally turned to you
You fixed her broken heart and made her smile again
In you she found comfort and love; in you she found a friend...

...i ♥ you brandon...
