Layers and Masks

Everyone has layers
And that's including me
We all have our own masks
I happen to have three

The first is my happy face
This one is my tool
It lets me joke and fake some laughs
I call it the "Fool"

You take away this layer
And you have only one win
You'll have to make it past the second
Before I let you in

Here we meet the second mask
This I call the "Advice"
It lets me understand and help
And it makes me stay sweet and nice

Take away this mask
And you'll think you're on your way
But the final mask is dark
And most people turn away

The last layer you'll hate
I call it my mask of "Black"
Once you've let it close to you
There is no turning back

You'll see the world I see
You'll feel the pain I feel
It will make you want to cry
You'll wish it wasn't real

Now you've made it all the way
I let you see my heart
All the memories and the pain
That gave me these three parts.
