Beauty and the Plastics

Does anyone notice?
Does anyone care?
That she's gone, now
She is no longer there.

She was a shadow, wasn't she?
The girl in the corner of the room,
With slit wrists and a broken heart,
Stuck in sorrow and gloom.

Did she find her way out?
Does anyone know?
Where has she gone?
The shadow?

She used to sit in silence,
And not care what we said,
She was so subtle,
That only he noticed she was dead.

He felt the need to tell us,
Like any of us cared,
Because, she always sat in the corner,
Just sat there and stared.

We're too wrapped in this lie of a life,
That we didn't see,
The wasn't the shadow,
She was the beauty.
