Ash Stained Lips

by Paine   Dec 13, 2006

A connection shared at first
Between two hearts
A moment forever burned
Never forget the name

A fire burned so fiercely
Now all that remains are ashes
Remains of a tainted history
Painfully, time slowly passes

Forget the past
Is never too easy
A slight object
Brings you back
To these regretful dreams

A new connection is found
Her heart to aid such pain
Doubtful, the cut is too deep
Charcoal taints his heart

They both have ties that run deep
They flown tirelessly in vain
Cut the wings
So they will no longer fly

Torn open hearts sown together
Crimson stained hands clasp

"They say that fear is the heart of love"
Then let them quiver in each others arms
Lick each others wounds and embrace the calamity
That is inevitable
