Is It Worth it?

Try and explain it to me
I do not understand
How this ground up grass
Makes you feel like a man

Would you care to tell me
What this stuff can do
Will it make you a better person?
And feel more like "you"

Does this little pill
Really make you smile?
Does the feeling it gives you
Really worth your while?

What about this cigarette
Do you really like the smell?
Because personally I hate it
And it burns my eyes like hell

How about the acid
That you could easily OD
What if one day it infects your mind
Then where will you be?

Do you really like this "pot"?
Is the feeling really that great?
Why you would do it anyway
Cuz I've told you its something I hate

Is it really worth it?
To be taking minutes from your life
Because the minutes turn to hours
And those hours become days and nights

Is it really that wonderful?
Are you sure it's best to do?
Because in my opinion it does nothing
Except make you less of "you".
