Sunshine

by Roy   Dec 14, 2006

High in the sky, on top of a cloud
Shines the sun so bright and proud
A force of nature so strong and bright
It's able to break the darkness of night

It's vigorous rays casted down upon me
Warmthening my heart as sweet as can be
Casting the very light that enables me to see
Dissolving my grudges and setting my burdens free

My enlightening spark
When casted into the dark
Filling me with vigor and pride
Soothing the pain i carry on the inside

The sun, no matter how torn
At the end of dawn shall be reborn
For all the sorrow afflicted yesterday
Shall not see the light of present day
And like an illuminated shadow fade awa

Everyday the sun is bound to set
Enabeling me to face the day without regret.

A very nice write. The descriptive words really add to this piece, making it a powerful poem. I love the concept, and how you conveyed this message through your words. I think that you need to get a more consistent rhyme scheme, however, it would really add to this write. I liked these lines,

"It's vigorous rays casted down upon me
Warmthening my heart as sweet as can be
Casting the very light that enables me to see
Dissolving my grudges and setting my burdens free"

Very powerful. Hope to see more of your work soon, best wishes and blessed be. *5/5
