What We All Really Want

by Flying With Broken Wings   Dec 14, 2006

Tomorrow morning i'll lie outside on the hammock
When the sun creates the effect
Of my little brother having no shadow
As he swings his baseball bat in the front yard.

Tomorrow will be the day that I walk the dog
Only because my mom said
That it would make my dad happy
And that I could use the air.

Tomorrow I'll go to Joy's family barbeque
And we'll sit on her front stairs listening to Jimi Hendrix
And smoke the cigarettes that she took
From her mom's purse when she wasn't looking.
