Graceful Ascent

by Shane   Dec 14, 2006

I want a love undeclared
Implicitly at the edge of your fingertips
In reach, a glass of unspoken sentiment
Whose aroma disseminates around you

Let our lips be the sheath to our desire
And time our sweet constraint
I'd wait at the edge of forever
For the curvature of your smile

To slip
A misfortunate wish
Would you push me
Or could I fall into this?

To spill
My intent bubbling with thought
The scent of a hundred million flowers
Left at your disposal, to flourish or rot

But the difference is crystal
Between accident and aim
Given the time, you know
The words will transpose

I'd love you better with poetry
Than prose.
