Before I Die

Life is hard
Unable to bear
Distant and Depressing
Black and cold

I don\'t know what to do
I look to him
He\'s with them
I call for him
He ignores me

I pick up the knife
Say goodbye
He turns around in time
To scream no
Before I run the knife
Across my neck

I lower it slowly
Ask what
He asks why
I point between us
Then I bring the knife
To my throat
Once more

Tears rolling
Down my face
He's astounded
He asks why
I shake my head
Steady my hand
'I love you'
I bring the knife across my neck

Blood pours out
I'm conscious long enough
To see him
Kneel down
Gather me in his arms
And cry

Before I die
