Loss of Trust

The sun has chosen to disappear
The everlasting light is gone
Reaching for the rays that are no longer there
The approach of my darkened soul has begun

I only craved love in which I did believe
But dignity was painfully erased
By someone who threw anger and grief
Every single memory was a waste

The light will never return
Except the light I'll never forget
In his eyes which so beautifully burned
I see the light that caused my regrets

My darkened soul has come to stay
Making me aware of the pain that trust involves
I sit and watch the last light getting away
And let my whole life dissolve
