Today is the day

by Keath   Dec 15, 2006

Several times I want to walk away
From the moment that's called today
Days called today, are those of the cold
Days wherein your whole story
Has already been foretold

Today passed by like an unwanted guest
Surroundings were nothing, save for dim
Even sunlight did not find its rest
The world is falling of her rim

Your face is fading away all too soon
Leaving me alone under this traitors' moon
Faces are vague, though each is the same
All those faces are gazing
Through the thick layer of blame

You were always here for me
A shoulder I could take for granted
But now no one seems to see
That, that is what I've always wanted

Today is the moment you choose to leave
Probably your pain was too hard for retrieve
Today, I preserve my tears for the end
Today I say goodbye to your story
Rest in peace my friend
