Her fake smile

by misha baby   Dec 17, 2006

A girl with a good life,
Slowly cuts away her pain,
She acts like everythings alright,
And she knows this cutting brings no gain.

She could make herself bleed,
But it would never be enough,
In her eyes u can always see,
That she tries to hold on,
She tries to be tough.

Shes gotten good at acting,
Through all the tears and the pain,
And everyday she goes to school.
She wants to break down,
But her fake smile looks the same.

All she can say is Im fine,
The same response everyday,
Depression may leave with time,
But her memories are here to stay.

Her friends are always there for her,
They say her secrets they will keep,
But her life goes by in a blur,
And there are no words to express her feelings,
For they run way too deep.

Her past will always haunt her,
Her hope has gone away,
People just wont let things go,
And all her childhood happiness has drained.

Life goes by like a dream,
Like nothing she goes through is real,
Maybe thats why she feels numb,
And acts like nothing is a big deal.

She cries herself to sleep,
To wake up to the same routine,
She keeps everything to herself,
And like I said:

Shes gotten good at acting,
Through all the tears and the pain,
And everyday she goes to school,
She wants to break down,
But her fake smile looks the same.
