What truly do lovers feel

by Callisto   Dec 17, 2006

The heart is a muscle, why does it feel pain,
You hear all lies about people so vain
Who are hurt by others, not of their own greed?
But made to feel awful by their hearts own need.

To be wanted, to be held
To love and to be loved
There they are hurt, pushed and shoved.
To die in ones love, to be buried with sorrow.
To know what feeling they hold, and not care, tomorrow.

The passion of love, amidst the sky
Toward temptation, toward the lie
Why do we love, when it only leads to hurt?
To be pushed and shoved with our face in the dirt.
To know that you are loved is a gift more or less
But to go through the journey is heavens bless.

For love gives you freedom and your own free will
To explore human nature and for desires to fill
To know how to move, how to touch and feel
To know what is fake and what, is real
To feel the passion as bright as a flame
You show them love, they do the same.

This poem was very good! It changed from being a sad poem to a very sweet love poem with some great wording all throughout. I really enjoyed this piece!
