Sunblinded.

by Sunblind   Dec 19, 2006

The dazzling rays
Brightness, luminosity
The sharp, painful joy
Instinctive closing of eyes

I can see
I can feel
The trickle of comforting warmth
I am alive

Gingerly
Protective eyelids opened
A green world welcomes
The scent of grass, pungent

Tilted beautiful head
Of a live specimen
Toward the essence of all life
The bright star

Blinded by the sun
It reminds you
That you are

alive.
