Daddy.

by marcelah   Dec 20, 2006

Daddy, you used to be there,
Every time I fell off my bike.
When my knees were scabbed,
You'd make my pain disappear.

Daddy, where are you now?
My knees have been scabbed, my heart's been broken,
There's no one to help me out,
Dad, I need you now...

Daddy, why did you leave?
I'm sorry if it was cause of me...
That could answer why Mommy punishes me so much.
Was I a bad daughter to you too?

Daddy, why did you fight so much?
The screaming and yelling,
I could hear my name fit inbewteen
Is it me whom to blame?

Daddy, I need you here,
I want to hear from you,
But not just once a month,
Will you swing by the holiday time?

Daddy, you don't know,
How a little girl needs her dad.
How I miss you so...
Daddy, where are you now?

This is such a sad poem. Whenever I hear someone calling out for the love of a parent it maked me cry. Hope things are getting better for you! Good job!
