Empty Search

by *~Broken_Seraph~*   Dec 20, 2006

My toes are enveloped in quicksand,
as the search for a heart continues.
Frozen in the carnage of heartbreak.

Buried under cemented lies,
a last attempt to stay the pain under a mask
binds the coarse beast that roars inside.

Sizzles in a scarlet crucible,
bound in a secret crevice,
My heart is unable to keep its beat.

My empty skeleton continues its search.
Across the rugged mountain ranges,
and uneven pastures,
to find a treasure, lost to the depths of Hades.
