It's all Your Fault Daddy

I know mom deserves better
Look at how you are treating her
You hit her and make her work
And then you cheat on her

And Daddy you always say
That I am never good enough
You say that I am lazy
And then you get awful rough

You hit my face and spank me
Then you say that you are sorry
You try to suck up to me
So I don't turn you in

You always try to be the man
But men don't beat their family
You say you love both mom and I
But yet you beat us constantly

So now it's me that takes the hit
While you wait for moms return
And you look at me with those evil eyes
And you tell me not a word

You load up your twelve gauge
Ready for your chance
To show both me and mom
That you are still in charge

He took the gun and told me
"I'd watch it if I were you
You never know who might be next
So hold your tongue and don't say a word
And you might get to live"

And as he held that shotgun
I knew what he had planned
But I could not let you do that
I have put up with your abuse long enough

So I went to the kitchen
And I pulled out a knife
And I walked right up to daddy
And I stabbed it in his back

He turned around and grabbed me
And picked me up and stared
Choking me and laughing
Like it was all just a game

But I was still determined to make my daddy pay
For all the times he hit me
And left bruises on my face

So I took that trusty knife of mine
And stabbed my daddy's heart
And took it out and stabbed again
And then fell to the ground

For my mission was complete
And daddy was dead
And I felt the need to apologize
But I just cried instead

For I knew that what I did was wrong
But I just didn't care
Because mom and I were safe
From my fathers glare

We no longer have the bruises
But we may have scars
And we don't have to run with fear
Because daddy's no longer here!!
