Haunting

She walked in the room and saw him standing there,
she turned her head once,
she figured she was seeing things,
for he had been gone for many weeks and her sanity was slipping,
she blamed herself for doing the things she had done to him,
she did not know how much he cared,
she never thought she was right for him,
he had always been the successful type,
her family wasnt known for good deeds,

they were madly in love tho,
talks of getting married and loving eachother forever certainly went away after he was accepted to college,
she could not afford that, and she didnt want to be a disapointment,
she told him she loved someone else,
even tho her heart yearned for him,
he didnt say a word,
for a week he was not at school that senior year,
she had not heard a word,
then one night he called her,
told her he would always love her,
but then she turned on the news to see he had hung himself,
but it was not possible,
his body was discovered about 5 minutes before he had called her,
now he stands in her bedroom,
watching,
haunting her.

Wow! The ending was unexpected. I usually don't get into poetry that doesn't rhyme, but this one, it was so good! The haunt feeling touches the readers fingertips. Stunning! 5/5
