Lost my temper or let my guard down
Pushed away or got to close

Never once looked back
Thought it was for the best
But now I know It kept me from my fears

Fear of many things
Get to close and getting hurt
Pushing away and not getting hurt

Things changed after I started having feelings for you
I didn't lose my temper or even let my guard down
I didn't push away or even get to close

I hid my feelings in a box deep in my heart
Locked the box up tight as can be
Threw the key away so you would never know

But now I realize
That was my biggest mistake
I would take that day back anytime

Fear of letting you down or worse..losing you
