Artist's Past

by Avrii Monrielle   Dec 22, 2006

There's so many secrets to an artist's past
So many one does not share
Too many that hurt one's innocent mind
Too cold for anyone to care

To look into the mind of an artist.. to see further than
The emotions within their eyes
Is so sudden and meaningful
It might even make you cry

An artist sees things with an artist's eye
They are but fragile souls
Their thoughts are brought into their work
And the real world's put on hold

Artists suffer tragedies
Darker than before
What they dream inside their heads
Is known forevermore

Artists are creative,
But they are much more than that
Their secrets are kept within
Their unknown, wondrous past

I liked this poem very much. You describe an artist with much detail and i think that is what makes it strong!

I love this . How you captured an artist's past and their perspective on things. My best friend is an artist and I am sure this is true for her . Well written(:
