Scared love

by Renee Kotva   Dec 22, 2006

I sit here waiting impatiently
butterflies fluttering inside,
waiting for the bell to ring
until then my love for you I'll hide.

The clock ticks seconds away
each takes longer to pass,
I don't think I can take another day
until this time will pass.

Sitting here I let my mind drift away;
and muse about the year past.
I wonder how we would be today,
til the clock has ticked enough at last.

I scury off down the hallway,
lookin for your face to get a glance.
I see your eyes but look away,
hanging my head wishing for another chance.
