Breast Cancer

by shattered and broken   Dec 22, 2006

Her pain seeps in and my heart sinks
For her world was shattered in just one blink

And she falls to her knees as tears cascade
But I can do nothing to make her pain fade

So I sit and I stare as her shattered life is torn
Like her skin being ripped by a jagged rose thorn

Stabbing into her soul and breaking her will
Taking her breathe and finishing the kill

But I can do nothing but watch her in vain
As the tears falling down drive her insane

And her tortured body jolts with these violent shakes
For the pressure of it all is causing her to break

For the thought is mind numbing how can this be
How can this illness just take her from me?

When did this happen? This just cant be right!
Things such as this just dont happen overnight

But they never knew and now its too late
Her life might be over and she cant handle that fate

And neither can I, this fate cant be true
Her precious young life just can not be through

This disease wont kill her or thats what I hope
Breast cancer isnt the worst I think she can cope

But who are we kidding theyre taking her in
Her surgeries on Thursday and theyll open her skin

And no one can know just how this will all end
And no one can know if Ill lose my best friend

*Thanks for reading, this is about my best friend if you cant tell. Support the fight to stop this damned illness please. It takes lives all over the world and you never expect it to happen to you or anyone close to you. It does though, it does. Always-
Shattered and Broken*
