Growing up

by Foolish Heart   Dec 24, 2006

Remember when getting high meant swinging at the playground,
The worst thing you could get from the opposite sex was cooties.
Your enemies were your teachers or your siblings,
Race issue was who ran the fastest,
And war was a card game.
The only drug you knew was cough medicine,
The only thing that hurt was a skinned knee,
And the only things that can be broken were your toys.
Life was simple and carefree,
But what I remember the most was wanting to grow up.
But now I want to little again.
