R.I.P. Jill Flaherty

by ellewen   Dec 24, 2006

Try not to cry
try to live
but not a lie
try to breath
but not to much
this air is polluted
my heart is aching
but still not enough

Love is the key
so take it from me
for you need it more then thee
my heart shattered
all that is left is a piece
so now try to tell me
all that i want keeps me from what I need

to bad what i need now is you
because now you are the one who is gone
and if only we had spoken
and it wasn't so long ago

heaven or hell?
they must not say "might as well"
all they do is say or tell
when all we need is an "it will all be well"
so Jill Flaherty farewell and good bye
to the next un-polluted life
when we meet someday again
and it will all be alright

This piece is excellent, that may not be constructive critique or anything, but I can't fight much flaw with this poem. The only thing I'd have to say is that using the word "thee" to rhyme is not the best, in my opinion, because it doesn't match the language of the piece. Still, 5/5
