Before I Die...

by ntv650   Mar 27, 2004

If I knew I wasnt going to wake up tomorrow, Or that my last breath was drawing nigh,
I would dance over a green field, wave the morning dew goodbye.

I would sit and watch the sun settle, then wait for it to rise.
Drink from a crystal stream that reminds me of your eyes.

Prepare to dream a hundred dreams, hear violins whine.
I would take your hand, and kiss you passionately in the rain.

Observe all I hold dear, forgetting all my ancient fears.
Look to my friends for help and advice, remember past memories with smile.

Then when I am content and feel it is right, and only then;-
I'll slip into the eternal passage of time.
