Hide and Seek

by Christie   Dec 27, 2006

Though her dreams her wish is to keep,
Her sanity likes to play hide and seek,
Deserting her at most perilous times,
Leaving her with lies left behind.

Hiding in corners of her brain,
Leaving her searching for the sane,
Only found though blood and tears,
Calling for help but no-one hears.

With each game played, it's harder to find,
Until one day, heart and head - unaligned,
Finally resigned to the dark, so forgiving,
Then what point will there be in the living??

You have a way with words, really. Is this based on anyone in real life, 'cause it seems very realistic and like it could come from someone... Well done!
