Behind The Curtains

Behind The Curtains

The curtains go up, and I am this person who always smiles.
I am someone who can listen to anyone
Someone who can pretend nothing is wrong
A girl who can smile, and forget about everything
It's a play all the way.
But behind the curtains, once they go down
I become who I really am...
A girl who feels lonely and needs someone by her side
I will break down when nobody is looking
I will feel like the world has turned its back on me.
Like no one is there to help me
But once again the curtains go up...
And I become this girl who is always smiling
And pretend that nothing is wrong.
I do not want to break in front of them
For I do not want to show my weakness anymore
I want to pretend everything is right, and that I am strong
At least when the curtains are up, because when they go down
I will too.
