Held Under The Water:Our Beloved Daughter

by Kevin Fitz   Dec 29, 2006

Held Under The Water:Our Beloved Daughter
Shot With a Gun:Our Beloved Son

hands folded with head held under the water
on the ground lays the beloved daughter
fathers hanging from a wooden rafter
while something like laughter
sinks it's weight into this open wound

a prying look into prying minds
breaking back wards the ties that bind
with murder in between the blinds
the moons hidden, the stars aligned

baby sleeps without breath
mother is crying herself to death
because bullets, one by one by one
found there way into the beloved son.
