Leaves

by Kenzie   Dec 29, 2006

A brisk autumn wind rustles a lonely leaf about on the ground
soon to be swept away from the world's view
no one will miss that one tiny leaf
no one will even notice it is no longer there
the tree survives without its leaves
but that lonely leaf will wilt and eventually fall into dust without the tree
