The story of love

by SeppensAngel   Dec 29, 2006

Love is living in a constant fear
Of knowing any day could end in tears
It's an emotion that strengthens your heart
Every time a guy rips it apart

People say the definition of love
Is the one guy that was sent from above
The one that makes you feel all warm inside
The one from whom you would never hide

Don't hate me, all I'm trying to do is warn
Those who don't want their hearts to be torn
Believe me, I know, love is a lie
No matter how hard to make it work, you try

It was made as an evil, ruthless trick
First it's a crush, then your lovesick
You've fallen for him, you think that it's true
That is, until he breaks up with you

Believe me, for I speak with a past of proof
They've all said they loved me, then poof!
Their gone, disappeared, out of my life
Crushing my dreams of becoming their wife

You think that I speak out of pain and spite?
That in my anger, none of these words are right?
If you do, your wrong again,
For strong and luring are the words of men.

My sad story is always the same
I've fallen once more in this game
And though I am in love once more
My heart will probably again be tore

For I guess it is true when people say,
That though it hurts, love is the way
"For it holds true, wha'er befall,
It is better to have loved and lost, then to have never loved at all"
