Awakening to the Screams

by Brandy   Dec 30, 2006

Every morning i wake up
to the sound of you guys screaming
at each other about another small thing gone wrong
are you sure you love each other
you always threaten to leave
i never want to be like you
i never want my kids to awaken to sound of screams
arguing constantly
fighting uncontrollably
do you even care anymore that you\'re tearing your kids apart
each scream is the beginning of yet another day
when will you quit
when will we have peace and quite
i hate being awakened by the screams
mom yells at you
once again you made her feel like shit
you scream at her try to tell her its not all her fault
but you f u c k up and say you hate this life
you\'re so tired of living this way
daddy don\'t leave us
we can change
do you love us anymore
the only thoughts in your little kids heads as they cry listening to the screams is
who\'s leaving
where will we go
and
i never want to be like that
i never want my kids awakening to the screams
can\'t you see you\'re tearing us apart
AWAKENING TO THE SCREAMS!

I like it! Although it felt a little messy to read, but on the other side of the argument that added a feeling of confusion and chaos which added to the experience. Good job! :D
