So Brave

by just chelsea   Dec 31, 2006

Who knew tears could say so much
The anger, the hate, and the pain
The things we don't understand.

A feeling so overwhelming,
The tears so cold, they burn you
As they consume your heart
And torture your mind
While you plead for forgiveness

You feel an ache in your heart
Thinking that its all your doing
This was something,
It could've been stopped
If only you knew, it wasn't you

A deed signed to the heavens,
To redeem a soul, so far lost
To lose the love of your life,
A tragedy so endless
Your entire world gone, in seconds

Unbearable, so it would seem
To be buried so far down
Consumed by darkness,
Its only a body.

A heart, so deserving to beat
Was quieted, so suddenly
A thought, unthinkable almost
That a heart just stops beating

God let down his hand,
And touched that heart that day
Sent an angel to take the soul away
And left the remains

A bed awaiting in a home
For its body, so it can rest
So it can all be put to rest
Safely, soundly, perfect.

A martyr, so brave, to enter
The world unknown
