The Real Me

The real me . . .
is a girl who fakes everyday with laughs and a smile,
and also keeps all her emotions aside for awhile.
She makes everyone seem that everything is great,
but really inside she spends her days in fear and hate.
People think she's funny,
probably b/c she hides all her feelings with a joke,
she's a fake, a liar, an actor, and a girl who puts on a personal cloak.
Is it healthy for her to lie,
probably not but she knows if people knew the truth they just might cry.
She has the ability to hide thing, emotions, and clues like a killer,
but the truth is her life isn't how people think it is and it's sad and depressing just like a bad thriller.
You see this girl was forced to grow up fast as a child,
she has a past of someone you only here about on t.v., in books, or even in police files b/c this girls home life is far from mild.
No one knows the truth about her and probably never will,
so you see this girl will sit in a life of hurt and abuse and only imagine how love will ever feel.
She is your neighbor, best friend, classmate, and just a girl you know of,
but their's more to this girl than a name, inside of her is a package full of pain and not love.
Yes this girl wishes it wasn't her but oh well,
now I'll probably just be the same girl with so much secret and troubles she can't ever tell,
this girl is a troubled teen with nothing she caused on herself and just covers it up with a joke or a lie so she won't feel the pain of her personal hell.
