Returning Light

by XSugarSexSuicideX   Dec 31, 2006

A glowing doorway,
Beckoning,
A weight around my neck,
A deadly enemy
To which no force is akin
Another path
To tread,
To dread,
A strong friend
Who leads the way,
Holds my hand,
Helps me change my Fate,
Destroy the boulder
Over my shoulders
Lifts the body
And throws my hate away,
Gives me the love
I need to live,
Reminds me
Never to let go,
Reach for the grasp
And return the glow
To my beacon of life,
My lamp of hope,
My candle of joy.

Interesting piece Rixxi. I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say though. Explain?

Interpretation. You used this route. Hm... The title was ever so deep. you gave information. so to answer the meaning of the title. Interpreting the poem as to ones hanging. At least. that is what this poem was yelling to me... Good poem. voted 4/5
