Resolution

I used to cut arms away
I used to cry at night
I used to pray that just for once
Something would go right

I used to hide the pain
And wish away the fear
I used force a smile
And hold back my tears

I used to scream up at God
I used to hate being me
I thought my life was nothing
That there was no one I would be

But tonight I decided to change
Make my life get better
Even when my mom gets to me
I will not let her

New Years fell by
And it showed me a solution
I will stop cutting, make myself better
That's my resolution.
