The Good Times

by Bridget   Jan 1, 2007

I remember all the good memories,
as I look back on the past.
I smile as I think of the laughs and the joy,
and I wish this feeling would always last.

I see the faces that were so friendly,
but are now so strange to me.
They looked so full and so pure,
and I think of what they have turned out to be.

These people were my friends,
and I'll never forget the good times we had.
I never thought people could change so much in such little time,
and thought people changed for the good and not for the bad.

The people I loved and cared about,
have grown up way too fast.
But they are still in a child's body,
so they should have made their childhood last.

But who am I kidding,
things can't stay the same forever.
Time passes and life goes on,
but never forget the good times you've had.
