I Am

by Michael   Jan 2, 2007

I am not the morning glory
bathed in the dawn's sunlight.

I am a broken staircase,
waiting to reach to the skies.

I am a stain glass window,
revealing all my differences
as I stand out of all the crowd.

I am amazed,
from my voyageur
from the walls in China
to the towers of London.

I am the shadow in the moonlit twilight,
disappearing into the evening
while no one cares.

I am the caring angel,
with clipped wings of anguish and despair.

In this poem, I had to do this for my school and submit it. This one took me a long time, but I was able to complete it. Sadly, it wasn't one of my best, but I did do better with my other poems!

So please comment and enjoy! :D
