Do you count the stars at night?
softly glowing orbs of light
have you chased the moon in sight?
glowing in the night

echoed silence; chilling bones
lilac leaves on cobble stones
running fast but walking lone
a journey we've all known

razor sharp cuts ruby red
slipping deep beneath the edge
flowing fierce with every bend
a stream of ruby red

have you watched the sun go down?
burning bright into the ground?
falling further farther down?
deep into the ground?
