Down by the edge of the sea

by Matt   Jan 2, 2007

Lives a place i know
where the frail winds blow
a town home to you and me

where the saints and sinners
all walk withered
down by the edge of the sea

beat down the street
crisp cool earth at his feet
strolling through dreams; two by three

popping along
softly humming his song
down by the edge of the sea

and when the pain got too great
he's now reached for the blade
christmas thoughts; dance ruby red

and when its all said and done
'neath the south city sun
down by the edge of the sea

travelin along
with no sense to belong
down by the edge of the sea
